Welcome to Fashion Italian Style, the official website to the Italian Trade Commission. Here, we have a wealth of resources already available to get you started on what you should know about Italian fashion. The extensive database has been split into six categories of integral fashion manufacturing – footwear, apparel, textiles, beauty, accessories and eyewear. Companies can set up a profile with their contact information and samples of the products they offer with the click of the Companies button. In the Learn section, the renowned and well-respected Valerie Steele, curator of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology and go-to woman for all things fashion, and husband writer and professor John Major have written in-depth on the history and importance of fashion in Italy. These articles are not only a learning experience to outsiders of the fashion world but to insiders too by providing great detail on what differentiates Italian fashion from other fashion industries. In the News & Events section, photographs and information from past events that the Italian Trade Commission has been involved in, coupled with the media coverage of these events are available.
